Last Tuesday, we went to the
Carson Nature Center and the South Platte River trail area.

This is the place where you can make a
simulation of
flooding though the South Platte River Area

Things to touch and feel.

Listen to stories of the Flood of 1958.

Start of our Nature Hike and river study.

We took samples of the river to look at up close. Apparently you can coast on a flotation or boat all the way down the South Platte River and end up in Downtown Denver. I guess I didn't take any pictures really on the hike portion, but we have some nice drawings in our Nature Journals.
