Audubon Society of Denver at Chatfield

Friday August 7th- After Roxbourough we headed to the Audubon Society of Denver at Chatfield Reservoirs site. It was recommended to us from one of the Rangers at Roxbourough State Park. Oddly enough this fabulous site isn't on www.naturefind.com. I am going to have to send them a note.

They are usually only open on Saturdays and Sundays though, but they were there and let us in the Discovery center. We will need to return again so that we can check out some more of the trails there and some others nearby.

Since it was such a HOT day, we took a short hike to the pond and did our nature journals there.
